Have you ever thought about whether you will visit the moon?

The topic may sound futuristic, but the reality of setting foot on the moon is becoming increasingly probable thanks to rapid advancements in science and technology. Reflecting on how fields have progressed over the last century, it’s clear that changes are accelerating and will continue to do so. Today, I am filled with hope seeing Mexico’s ecosystem of innovative young minds collaborating with international institutions to make a difference.

Recently, we visited the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo and were thoroughly impressed by their technological park, laboratories, and overall campus facilities. It felt like stepping into a top-tier global university. During our visit, we learned about a fascinating project by IRON SPACE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN STUDIO. They are developing a state-of-the-art space suit, incorporating advanced technologies. Notably, they crafted the suit for Katya Echeazarreta, the first Mexican to reach space, who holds dual American-Mexican citizenship. Their suit features fire-resistant materials, compartments for an inflatable raft, a parachute, and a sophisticated physiological waste disposal system.

We are excited to announce that we will soon be signing a collaboration agreement with this university. We are confident that together, we can support more Mexican students who are dedicated to daily innovation and contribute to the future of space exploration.
